Bayern Munich midfielder, Thiago Alcantara, says he is disappointed and depressed after being told he would be absent a long time, as a result of damage to the ligament.
The Spaniard has not played for the Bavarians this season and has struggled with injuries since moved to the Allianz Arena in 2013 from Barcelona.
He had just returned to training, but hurt his knee again and again expected to miss a long time.
For many, 23-year-old will undergo surgery to treat the problem.
"News very, very bitter for Bayern: Thiago Alcantara has again suffered a serious injury during Tuesday's exercises ... He needs surgery and will miss a long time," reads the announcement of the German club.
